Did you know there are 3 different Mario characters all called Big Bertha!?

Big Bertha

This is the first Big Bertha. It only exists in the original release of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars as it was changed to the lame and stupid Big Blaster in its remake. The name is dervied from a real World War 1 weapon, of the same name, and since all children have a deep knowledge of World War 1 howitzers they didn't want to scare the kiddies by leaving that in.

This is the second Big Bertha. It's a big Cheep Cheep that has been cowardly retconned to be Big Cheep Cheep. The name is just what you call it when looking at it. Very clever. But why was this thing even called Big Bertha in the first place? Well, it shoots its children out of its mouth. The only reasonable conclusion to draw is Nintendo supports using children as the munitions of an artillery cannon.

This is the third Big Bertha and the only one that retains her title, but only because Nintendo would need to acknowledge the original Super Mario Bros. movie to change it. This character was actually named after our above Big Bertha, because every character, setting, and object in the movie needed to be named after a Mario thing. She kisses Mario right on the mouth, and as far as we know, that's the only time that's happened, so she's kind of a big deal as far as lore implications are concerned.

Some of these levels were meant for Super Pax World, others were just ideas that never fully formed, and some were made by children who I let play with my Switch. All levels in the Coursebot must go!
